Rose Oseguera, 32, of Colusa, has many entrepreneurial interests. Her goal this year is to return to school and complete her degree in business administration.

Rose Oseguera

Name: Rose Oseguera

Age: 32

Family: Hector, Balentin, Briana, Adrianna, Gordo, David and Isabel

City of residence: Colusa

Occupation: Customer service representative at Rabobank, Colusa

Hobbies and interests: My interests lie in entrepreneurial pursuits. I have worked vending machines, sold flowers, owned an ice cream truck, cater events on occasion, and am currently thinking of obtaining a hot-dog cart. Apart from all of this, I am an avid reader and read daily.

What was the best thing that happened to you in 2011? My fourth child, Isabel Rose, was born in April.

Whom do you most admire and why? I most admire my mom. She is a strong, independent woman, with the largest heart in the world. She immigrated to this country from Mexico, learned to speak the English language, and started her own cleaning business with a sixth-grade education. All of this with six kids in tow. She then put herself back in school and achieved her GED and is now a U.S. citizen.

What's something about yourself that your friends might not know? I am a Star Trek fan. "The Next Generation," of course.

What is your dream job? I have always envisioned my dream job to be one where I have a flexible schedule to be available for my children and also be able to help people in the community. Currently, this is what I get to do with Rabobank.

What quality in people do you most admire? I most admire honesty in people. I prefer people to be blunt and honest. Don't try to save my feelings — I want to know when my zipper is down or my hair is messed up.

What is guaranteed to make you smile? Any goofy moment with my kids.

What are you thankful for? I am most thankful for the good health of all the members of my family.

What are some of your fondest memories? My fondest memories are of my father. Now that he is no longer with us, I cherish every memory I have of him.

Most embarrassing moment? With four children I have an embarrassing moment at least once a week. The most recent was at a baby shower when my 11-month-old leaked out of her diaper and onto my lap.

What do you hope to see happen this upcoming year? I have many hopes for this year, all mainly surrounding returning to complete my degree in business administration. Whatever occurs this year, my main hope is that my family and I will see the year through in good health and together.

Favorite quote: Friedrich Nietzsche's, "That which does not kill me makes me stronger."
