Community Briefs: Blood drive set at Maxwell High
A blood drive will be held from 8:30 a.m.-1 p.m. March 8 at Maxwell High School in the Bloodmobile, located near the pool at 515 Oak St.
All participants will receive a free T-shirt.

Chico church hosting Bachathon
A Bachathon featuring organ music of J.S. Bach and some of his contemporaries will be held from 1-4 p.m. March 10 at St. John's Catholic Church, Fourth and Chestnut streets, Chico.
Participants include members of the North Valley Chapter of the American Guild of Organists.
A $5 donation is suggested to raise money for student organ scholarship.
4-H camp counselors sought
Applications for teen counselors at the Colusa County 4-H 2012 Camp are being accepted through March 14.
Teens must have graduated from eighth-grade as of June 1, 2012. Prior 4-H membership or camp experience is not required.
Interviews will be conducted on March 22, but applications must be filed. Training sessions are scheduled to begin in April.
Adult volunteers also are needed at the camp, which runs June 29 through July 3.

Williams Antique Show in March
The Williams Antique Show will be held from 10 a.m.-5 p.m. March 17 and 10 a.m.-4 p.m. March 18 at the Old Gym, 1491 E St.
The food booth will be supplied by the Williams Catholic Church of Annunciation as its annual fundraiser.
Low-emission grants available
The Colusa County Air Pollution Control District is accepting applications for the Carl Moyer Program, which is designed to replace older, less efficient engines with new low-emission engines, or by retrofitting engines for lower emissions.
The program targets irrigation pump engines and old off-road, heavy-duty engines.
