Two injured in motorcycle crash
Two Sacramento residents were injured when the motorcyle they were riding on Highway 16, east of Bear Creek in western Colusa County, crashed Saturday afternoon, the California Highway Patrol reported.
Nicholas Brumley, 67, was driving the 2009 Harley Davison east on Highway 16, and had just crossed the Bear Creek bridge when the motorcycle drifted off the roadway and hit a guardraik, the CHP reported.
Brumley and his passenger, Sharon Brumley, 65, were thrown from the bike.
Nicholas Brumley sustained what the CHP described as major injures and was airlifted to Santa Rosa Memorial Hospital, the CHP reported. His condition was unknown.
Sharon Brumley was treated at Colusa Regional Medical Center for what was described as minor injuries.
Both were wearing helmets.
The accident took place about about 3.5 miles east of Highway 20.
