65th Anniversary: Cain

Eugene and Helen Cain recently celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary with a trip to Little River near Mendocino.

Eugene Cain married Helen Fruchtenicht on Oct. 1, 1947, in Woodland.

The couple, who are retired from farming, made their home in Arbuckle and raised four children: Nancy Myers, Diane McCullough and Gary Cain, all of Arbuckle, and Carolyn Sutherln of Auberry.

They have 12 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

He is a mason and she was a longtime volunteer with 4-H. Both were active with their church and other community groups.
