Two rice growers meetings set
The annual growers meeting held by the California Rice Commission will be at 9 a.m. Jan. 8. at the Bonanza Inn Magnuson Grand Hotel, 1001 Clark Ave., Yuba City.
The second meeting will be held at 1 p.m. the same day at the Colusa Casino Resort Conference Center, 3770 Highway 45, Colusa.
Registration will be held 30 minutes prior to each meeting. All members of the rice industry are welcome.

Open house at new Williams Community Center
The new Williams Community Center will have an open house from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. on Jan. 12.
The center, which is the refurbished former VFW hall, is located on C Street
Bingo Bash slated in Williams
The Williams Community Center is hosting a Bingo Bash starting at 5:30 p.m. Jan. 14 at its new location on C Street.
The packet price is $20 with values for the extra packet ($5), special packet ($5), early birds ($4) and bonanza cards ($1).
The payouts are $50 for each regular game, with prizes of $75 for some specials and bonanzas, and $100 for a special-special game, and $250 for pick-'em and some bonanza games.
Refreshments will be available.
The new center is located at 860 C St.
Crab feed scheduled Jan. 20
The annual Willows Elks Lodge Crab Feed, Raffle and Auction will be held from noon-6 p.m. Jan. 20 at 150 S. Shasta St., Willows.
Tickets are $35 and $15 for children 12 and under. Tickets are available from Elks members and at the Elks Lodge.
Proceeds benefit high school seniors in Glenn and Colusa counties.

PG&E scholarships available
PG&E is accepting applications for 2013 college scholarships.
Aspiring and continuing college students may apply for financial assistance through the Employee Resource Group's scholarship funds. At least 100 students will receive scholarships ranging from $1,000 to $5,000 for exemplary scholastic achievement and community leadership.
Application deadline is Feb. 1.
