Church News: Chili dinner Saturday at Maxwell Methodist

A chili bean dinner will be served from 5-7 p.m. Saturday at the Maxwell United Methodist Church Social Hall, 79 N. California St., Maxwell.

The fundraiser dinner includes homemade chili beans, cornbread, desserts and beverages. Donations will be accepted at the door.

Fair will aid Catholic school

A Mother's Day and Easter Faire will be held from noon to 5 p.m. on March 31 at St. Bernadette's Hall, 745 Ware Ave., Colusa.

There will be at least 25 vendors, and vendor space is still available. The cost is $50. Proceeds benefit Our Lady of Lourdes School.

Admission to the fair is free, with a raffle and door prizes planned.

Church Day in Park is April 1

The fourth annual Community Church Day in the Park will be held 1-3 p.m. on April 1 at Memorial Park, Market and 10th streets, Colusa.

Shared food, live music and the opportunity to spend a couple of hours in fellowship with other Christians is the objective. Several local churches are involved.
