Church News: Holy Week events planned

The Arbuckle United Methodist Church has scheduled a series of Holy Week events starting with a Palm Sunday service at 9 a.m. on Sunday.

That will be followed by a reception for retiring treasurer Lily Ditaranto.

A Good Friday service will be held at 6:30 p.m. on April 6, and two Easter Sunday programs are scheduled.

A Sunrise Service will be held at 6:30 a.m. at the Arbuckle Golf Course, and a 9 a.m. service at the church.

Our Lady of Lourdes Faire Saturday

A Mother's Day and Easter Faire will be held from noon to 5 p.m. on Saturday at the St. Bernadette's Hall, 745 Ware Ave., Colusa.

There will be at least 25 vendors. Proceeds benefit Our Lady of Lourdes School.

Admission to the fair is free, with a raffle and door prizes planned.

Church Day in the Park Sunday

The fourth annual Community Church Day in the Park will take place from 1-3:30 p.m. Sunday at Memorial Park, located at 10th and Market streets, Colusa.

Family activities, free food and entertainment will be provided, as well as a jump house for the kids.
