Church giving away free turkeys

Charity Baptist Church will give away a free turkey to every family with an adult present in church at 10:45 a.m. on Sunday. The church will also have a free apple pie for all the children and will be giving away a Sony PSP to one winning teen. For more information, call 458-2829.

Blood, toy drive on Nov. 30
Donate blood and receive a sweet reward from BloodSource from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Nov. 30, at Our Ladies of Lourdes School Hall, 745 Ware St., Colusa. The blood drive is sponsored by the Knights of Columbus #2145 and the Colusa County Sheriff's Department. For an appointment, call John Rogers at 682-5354. Please eat and drink plenty of fluids. There will be a collection barrel for new, unwrapped toys for the CHiP's Kids Toy Drive.

Holiday donations for the troops
You can help bring a little bit of home to the troops overseas by donating items such as travel size toiletries, waterless shampoo, travel size baby wipes, blank Christmas cards, pre-paid international phone cards, canned turkey, unbreakable Christmas decorations, travel size chess and checker games, decks of cards and Beanie Babies (for children). Drop off location is at Curl Up & Dye, 1455 Eighth St., Colusa. For information, call 635-0377.

Enjoy Christmas at the Stagehands
Stagehands theater will present two Christmas plays "Santa Napped" and "The Christmas the Rudolph almost missed," at 8:15 p.m. on Dec. 6; 4 p.m. matinee on Dec. 7. Encore presentations will be held at 8:15 p.m. on Dec. 12 and 13. Fore more information, call 415-1633 or 458-5479.

12th annual Olde Tyme Christmas
The 12th annual Olde Tyme Christmas will be held on Dec. 5. Market Street will be closed in Colusa from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. on the evening of the celebration. Vehicles on Market Street will be replaced with vendors, horse drawn buggies, entertainers, and of course - Santa Claus. Photographs with Santa will be available at 5th and Market Streets from 6:15 to 8:30 p.m. For more information, call 415-1633.

Egling School selling poinsettias
The Egling Middle School Library is selling poinsettias to benefit the library. Each plant is $12. Today is the last day only for orders, which will be ready for pickup between 8:30 a.m. and 5:30 p.m. Dec. 4 and 5 at the school. For more information, call 458-7631.

Weekly senior walking program
