Reader suspects city manager is the issue
Does it make sense to the Colusa City Council that a city finance director, who has been working to clean everything up and applying for grants and getting this city our money due us, would leave for family reasons?
Has anyone really looked into the issue of the morale in City Hall since this city manager has come on board?
If anyone on the City Council would get an outside attorney, or do the investigations, they would find mess ups on the part of the city manager, not to mention some of which looks like San Juan Bautista, it is all there for the council to look at if if only the council would.
The council needs to look into some of the things. There are so many of them.
Like making life so miserable for another department head so that person chose to retire.
The city manager does not like anyone who does not agree with her. The council has given the city manager carte blanc to hire and fire, and authority to spend our money as she sees fit.
She is not trustworthy. I fear she will abuse that. Just look at the sign on her car we pay for.
Council has created along with her a one-man band. She is controlling all the public information by making all requests go through her, and all requests of information to council go through her.
Does all that not seem strange to the council, all this has been a wrong way of doing business and has been since the City Manager Jan McClintock has started?
The city manager has employees scared to talk to each other for fear of losing their jobs, because this city manager rules by intimidation.
