Youth input needed
The City of Colusa is seeking interested youth between the ages of 13-18 to act in an advisory role to various councils, committees and commissions in the City. The purpose of this program is to provide elected and appointed City decisions makers with input from the youth of our community and to provide young leaders with valuable firsthand experience in how government works.
Five Youth Advisers will be selected for the program. One adviser will be selected for each of the following governmental bodies: City Council, Planning Commission, Tree Committee, Parks and Recreation Commission and Historic Preservation Committee.
Students interested in applying to be a Youth Advisor can either download the application at www.cityofcolusa.com or pick up an application at City Hall, 425 Webster Street, Colusa, between the hours of 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., Monday through Thursday.
Applications are due at City Hall by noon, Aug. 31. Interviews will be held and appointments made on Sept. 20 at the City Council meeting.
