Blood drive in Maxwell slated
A community blood drive will be held from 8:30 a.m.-1 p.m. Tuesday at Maxwell High School, 515 Oak St., Maxwell.
Donors must be in generally good health, free from cold symptoms for at least 48 hours; be at least 17 years old, or 16 with parental consent; and weigh at least 110 pounds. There is no upper age limit for donating blood. Donors must also have photo ID.

Business scholarship available
The Yuba-Sutter-Colusa Employer Advisory Council is offering one adult and one youth scholarship in the amount of $1,000 each for applicants demonstrating potential entrepreneurial interest and rationale.

Small farm workshop March 7
The Colusa Resource Conservation District will host a Small Farm Direct Marketing and Business Essentials workshop from 8:30 a.m.-2 p.m. March 7 at the Colusa Industrial Park, 100 Sunrise Blvd., Colusa.
Topics of discussion will include farmers market certification; top 10 things to know to run a viable business; the new cottage food law and more.

Artists sought for March event
The Colusa County Arts Council is hosting an Art and Wine Tasting on March 16 at the Sacramento Valley Museum in Williams.
Artist applications are being accepted through March 8.
