Business Brief: Mushroom firm presents grants

Five Colusa County nonprofits recently received grants from Premier Mushroom Inc.
The groups are the Safe Haven Fund, Colusa County Arts Council, Friends of Music, the Colusa County Grown project of the Resource Conservation District and the Family Action Center.
The grants ranged from $150 to $250.
This is the second year of the grant program. The funds are generated through mushroom sales during the 2012 Colusa Farmers Market. This past season, $1,000 was brought in.
