Briefs: All you can eat crab feed set
Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic School is holding an all-you-can-eat crab feed at 5:30 p.m. March 8 at St. Bernadette's Hall, 745 Ware Ave., Colusa.
The event will also include an auction.
Tickets are $40. They are available at the school or at the door.
Proceeds go to the school.
Photography classes available
Colusa County Arts Council will hold photography classes, taught by Ulan Valusek, from 6-8 p.m. every Thursday evening.
The cost is $15 per month.
Students must bring a laptop computer with Photoshop Elements installed and digital photos they have taken.

T-ball deadline nears
Boys and girls born between 2006-2008 may sign up for City of Colusa Mighty Mite T-Ball now through Feb. 28.
Registration forms are available at City Hall, 425 Webster St., or at www.cityofcolusa.com.
The cost is $32 for Colusa residents and $42 for non-Colusa residents.
Late registrations will not be accepted.
Youth nominations open
The Colusa County Office of Education is accepting nominations for the ninth annual Caring Youth Counts Awards.
The awards acknowledge the positive contributions individual students make to their communities. The categories for which nominations are accepted are:
Heroic Resilience: For overcoming or is being in the process of overcoming challenges in life.
Interest in Community Services: For volunteer contributions to the community, family, church or school.
Strength of Character: For efforts to remain true to his or her character by being honest, respectful, and/or standing up to peer pressure.
Nominees must be 5-18 years old and attend school in Colusa County. Anyone can nominate a student.
The event will be held March 20 at the Colusa Indian Community Center.
