Briefs: Hot Rods to perform at Williams Concert in the Park
Hot Rods will be playing at the Museum Park, also known as Venice Park, at 6 p.m. Thursday. In addition to music, the Williams Fire Department will be cooking food.
Princeton to host fundraisers to benefit students, athletes
The Princeton Community Eagles' yard sale and Princeton High School football team and cheerleaders' car wash will be Saturday at Princeton Park. Yard sale is 8 a.m.-noon. Proceeds from the yard sale will benefit the students in the Princeton Joint Unified School District in academics and athletics. The car wash is 9 a.m.-noon.
Willows Car and Bike Show set for this weekend
The 27th annual Willows Car and Bike Show gets underway Friday with a show-and-shine from 5 p.m.-7 p.m. at Memorial Park on Sycamore Street in Willows. The show will feature a DJ, food and craft vendors, dignitary awards and street dance. The show on Saturday gets underway at Jensen Park on Elm Street with registration from 7 a.m.-10 a.m.; the show runs from 10 a.m.-4 p.m., with awards at 3 p.m. There will be food, craft vendors, raffles all day long and free kid's activities.

Recovery Walk for YESscheduled for Aug. 24
The fourth annual YES Eleanor Azevedo Memorial Recovery Walk will be held 10 a.m. Aug. 24 at A.B. Davison Park, under the pavilion on 10th Street, Colusa. All proceeds go to the YES Fund, which has been helping youth participate in self-enrichment activities since 2010. Knights of Columbus' Crawdad Festival on the horizon
The eighth annual Colusa Crawdad Festival sponsored by the Knights of Columbus Council 2145 and featuring live music will be held at the Colusa County Fairgrounds from 1 p.m.-10 p.m., Sept. 7. Colusa County Arts Council to present Avenue of the Arts
Colusa County Arts Council will be hosting Avenue of the Arts at 6:30 p.m. Sept. 14 featuring artist Noel Etchepare-Stubbelfield, a Maxwell-native. Her medium is oil and watercolor paintings. 5-kilometer Mud Run to benefit River Partners
A 5K mud run to benefit River Partners in their efforts to create wildlife habitat will be held on the Sacramento River about 9 miles north of Colusa off River Road on Sept. 14. The course will include obstacles along the way, including mud pits, hay bale climbs, sand traps, water crossings, tire fields, and a tunnel crawl.
