Colusa 83, Golden Sierra 68
Max Moreno poured in a game-high 26 points as the RedHawks blew past the host Grizzlies in the championship game of the Mountain Challenge at Golden Sierra High on Saturday.
Riley de Wit scored 16 points and R.J. Phillips chipped in with 14 of his own for Colusa, which improved to 8-6 on the year with the victory. Moreno and Phillips were both named to the all-tournament team.
Colusa 70, Rio Vista 44
In Garden Valley — Max Moreno scored 17 points and Hayden Bailey finished with 16 to lead the RedHawks past the Rams in the opening day of the Mountain Challenge on Friday. Riley de Wit added seven points for Colusa.
Maxwell 56, St. Bernard's 53
Isaias Martinez sank four 3-pointers and dropped 21 points on St. Bernard's of Eureka on Saturday in the Etna Tournament.
Martinez also added four rebounds and four assists as Maxwell (10-1) overcame a 24-20 halftime deficit.
Blake Vierra chipped in 11 points, four assists and three steals, Zach Troughton posted eight points and 11 rebounds, and Bryce Perry added six points and four rebounds.
Maxwell 47, Etna 33
The Panthers jumped out to a 20-3 lead after one quarter against the host team in the Etna Tournament and cruised to a 47-33 victory on Friday.
Troughton led Maxwell with 19 points and six rebounds, Martinez added 14 points and six steals, Vierra netted 11 points, four rebounds and four assists and Eddie Rangel grabbed 10 rebounds and dished out four assists.

Maxwell 51, Fall River 37
Kaily McKinley recorded 22 points and five rebounds to help lift the Panthers over the Bulldogs in the third-place game of the Etna Tip-Off Challenge in Saturday.
Jenna Powell had 15 points and six rebounds, and Jessie Otterson chipped in with eight points and five boards for Maxwell (6-4).
Etna 48, Maxwell 40
Otterson tallied 15 points and seven rebounds, but the Panthers fell short in a loss to the host Lions at the Tip-Off Challenge on Friday.
Powell chipped in with nine points and 11 rebounds, and McKinley had eight points and five rebounds for Maxwell.
