Colusa matches season high, stops Biggs
The lightbulbs on the hometown scoreboard were popping in Colusa on Friday, as the RedHawks matched their season-high point total with an 87-65 decision over Biggs.
Hayden Bailey lit it up for a career-best 25 points to lead the RedHawks' scoring parade, but he was not Colusa's only double-digit scorer, as Max Moreno piled on 16 points, Christopher Madrigal tallied 15 and R.J. Phillips, 13.
Bailey, Moreno and Madrigal also helped pull the Wolverine defense out by nailing down a pair of 3-pointers each, and Madrigal was 5 of 6 from the charity stripe.
Phillips led the effort on the glass with 12 rebounds and also provided seven assists, but Moreno's nine dishes set the standard for the RedHawks, who improved to 5-1 in the Mid-Valley League and 15-7 overall with the victory.
Colusa opened the doors to Quincy on Tuesday, and plays in Williams on Friday.
