Colusa woman dies in crash
A Colusa woman is dead following a two-vehicle accident Tuesday afternoon at Highway 99 and O'Banion Road in Sutter County, the California Highway Patrol said.
A Ford SUV heading eastbound across Highway 99 traffic was T-boned on the driver's side by a Chevrolet Impala heading southbound on 99. The woman who died was a passenger in the back seat of the driver's side of the sedan, the CHP said.
She died at the scene after CPR was administered, the CHP said. Her identity has not been released pending the notifiction of her family.
The driver of the SUV, a 19-year-old man from Fresno, was unconscious and transported by air ambulance to Sutter Roseville Medical Center.
The Impala's driver, a 60-year-old Colusa man, and his front-seat passenger, 25 of Colusa, were transported with injuries to Rideout Memorial Hospital.
Drugs or alcohol are not believed to be factors at this time, according to the CHP.
Northbound 99 remained restricted to one lane on Tuesday evening as the crash investigation continued.
