Relay canceled

Plant sale
The Garden Club of Colusa County will have its first annual plant sale today at Will S. Green Park, 901 Parkhill St., Colusa. Proceeds will be used to support community projects. For information, call Cynthia White at 458-2227.
Art show
The Colusa County Arts Council will have an exhibit of local artists from 1 to 4 p.m. today at Will S. Green Park, Colusa Senior Center Boy Scout Cabin, 901 Parkhill St., Colusa. For information, call 458-3062 or 458-5480.
Carnitas feed
Colusa High School Grad Night 2009 will have a carnitas feed from 5 to 7 p.m. today in Colusa High School cafeteria, 901 Colusa Ave., to raise money for a safe and sober graduation. Dinner includes carnitas, tortillas, rice, beans and salsa. $10 a plate. Tickets available in advance at 458-5395 or at the door.
Neighborhood sale

Wine and art
Colusa County Friends of the Library and Arts Council will host a wine tasting, art show and silent auction fundraiser from 1 to 4 p.m. today in the Senior Center at Will S. Green Park, 901 Parkhill St., Colusa. Tickets are $15 at Colusa County Library, The Bookworm Bookstore and Friends and Council members. Colusa Stock
Six bands will perform at 11 a.m. today at the Colusa County Fairgrounds in a “Colusa Stock” concert to benefit Colusa Unified School District’s music program. Cost is $8 at the door or $5 with a student ASB card. Various performances from the Colusa High School band, choir and jazz bands. Children’s activities, barbecue, raffle prizes, and silent auction. Cinco de Mayo
The second annual Family Cinco de Mayo event is from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday at Memorial Park, corner of Market and 10th streets, Colusa. Included will be live entertainment, jump houses and vendors. Sponsored by Colusa County Behavioral Health Department.
Fiesta and Cook-off
The annual Spring Fiesta and Carnitas and Salsa Cook-off is from noon to 4 p.m. Sunday at Balfour Park, 10th and Hall Streets, Arbuckle. The event includes children's activities, live entertainment and refreshments. Meal tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for children younger than 12. Sponsored by the Arbuckle Revitalization Committee.

AARP driving course
An AARP Driver’s Safety renewal course will be from noon to 4:30 p.m. May 9 at Colusa Industrial Properties Conference Room, 100 Sunrise Blvd., Colusa. It is for people who have taken the course in the last four years. Cost is $14; $2 discount for AARP members. Course materials and a certificate of completion included. Space is limited to 25. Quilt show
Pacific Flyway Quilters quilt show will be from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. May 9 at Festival Hall, Colusa County Fairgrounds. The one-day show will feature local quilts and quilting venders. Entry is $6. To display a quilt, call 458-4098.

Spring concert
Colusa Music Program’s annual band and choir spring concert is at 7 p.m. May 12 on the lawn outside the Colusa Community Theater, 10th and Webster streets. Nickels Field Day
The 32nd annual Nickels Field Day will be May 15 at Nickels Soil Lab, 6500 Marine Ave., Arbuckle. Clay shoot

Walk, jog, move
The second annual District Dash is May 23 in Williams. There will be a free “kid's challenge” for children 9 and under starting at 8 a.m., followed by a 1-mile, 5K and 10 K run/walk at 8:15 a.m. All events start at Williams Middle School, 260 11th St. Entry fee is $20, which includes a T-shirt, or $10 without a T-shirt. The Arbuckle Certified Farmers Market begins its second season from 5 to 8 p.m. June 3 at LaVanche Hursh Community Park in downtown Arbuckle. Soccer signups
Yuba Sutter Youth Soccer Signups are 6 to 8 p.m. May 13 and 14 at Egling Middle School cafeteria, 813 Webster St. New players must provide copy of their birth certificate. Children must be at least 4 years old before August 1, 2009 to register. Fee is $70 each for first two players in a family and additional players are $50 each, not including uniform.
