Free movie being offered in Williams

The Williams Community Center Association will host a free movie at 1 p.m. today at the Williams Veterans Hall, 9th and C Street, Williams. All are invited to enjoy Oscar nominated "Trail of the Lonesome Pine," starring Fred McMurray and Henry Fonda.

Volunteers needed for Colusa

An organizational meeting for the "Volunteers for Colusa" program will be held at 6 p.m. Thursday at Colusa City Hall, 425 Webster St.

If you are interested in the program, but cannot attend the meeting, please contact 458-4740 ext. 106. Provide your name, address, phone number and e-mail (if available) so you can be included in future discussions and informational mailings.

Chamber to host ribbon cutting

The Colusa County Chamber of Commerce will host a ribbon cutting at 5:30 p.m. Thursday for Colusa County Community Advocates for Parents and Children, 149 5th Street, and Art to Grow by, 147 5th Street, Colusa.

Last chance for concert in the park

The Colusa Parks and Community Services Department will offer its final concert in Memorial Park Thursday. The Colusa Jazz Band will perform big band tunes from the 1930s to the 1960s. Friends of Music will host the barbecue. Details: 458-5622, ext. 109.

Fundraiser to benefit Eagles

The Princeton Community Eagles and Princeton High School football team will have a yard sale and car wash from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday at the Princeton Park to benefit academics and athletics in the district. To donate to the yard sale, please bring items to the Princeton Park at 7 a.m. the morning of the sale or call 439-2475 to arrange pick up.

Yard sale to fund scholarships

Detta Mu Sigma will host its annual yard sale Saturday at 310 Cosner Ave., Maxwell. Donations welcome. Please drop off by Friday. All proceeds go towards high school scholarships.

Singing to promote fellowship

A Community Sing will be held at 6 p.m. Sunday at the Trinity United Methodist Church, corner of 5th and Oak streets, Colusa. An offering will be taken to support the Colusa Christian Assistance Fund. Refreshments provided.

Seniors invited to enjoy lunch

Senior citizens meet for lunch at noon, Monday through Thursday, at the Senior Center, 901 Parkhill St., Colusa. Suggested donations are $3 for seniors 60 and over and $4 for non-seniors. Reservations required. Details: 458-0380.

Colusa grief support offered monthly

McNary-Moore Funeral Service of Colusa sponsors a free grief support group at 7 p.m. the first Monday of each month at Trinity United Methodist Church, 511 Oak St., Colusa. Details: 458-2111.

Colusa offers senior walking program

The Colusa Parks and Community Service Department offers a weekly senior walking program at 10 a.m. Tuesdays at City Hall, 425 Webster St. Details: 458-5622, ext. 109, or visit www.cityofcolusa.com.

Summer market keeps Arbuckle produce fresh

The Arbuckle Certified Farmers Market is held every Wednesday from 5 to 8 p.m. at LaVanche Hursh Community Park in downtown Arbuckle. Barbecue dinner served.

Seniors play games weekly on Wednesday
