Guest singers at Colusa Assembly of God
Dan and Carol Fryer of DCVF Ministries will be the guest singers Sunday at 10:30 a.m. at the Colusa Assembly of God church, 1747 Highway 20, Colusa. The Fryers write much of their own music and have performed on several television programs. For more information, contact 458-2585.
Colusa church celebrates 140 years
Colusa First Christian Church is celebrating its 140th anniversary beginning at 12:30 p.m. on Nov. 15. The oldest church in continuous service in Colusa County, services were first held at the courthouse while the building was being constructed. A special, historical service will be held at the courthouse gazebo, on the corner of Sixth and Jay streets in Colusa. For more information, call 458-4270.
Celebrate the holiday season
Williams' second annual Festival of Lights Parade will be held on Dec. 12. Sponsored by the Citizens for a Better Williams, the parade begins at 6:30 p.m. and concludes with a community get-together at the Sacramento Valley Museum, 1491 E. St., Williams. Breakfast feeds hungry hunters
The Maxwell FFA will hold its annual Pheasant Hunter Breakfast from 6 a.m. to 9 a.m. Nov. 14, at the Maxwell Elementary School multi-purpose room. Cost is $5 for adults; $3 children under 10. For more information, call Maxwell High School Ag Department at 438-2425.
Live band to rock church
A free event featuring a live band playing hits you hear on KLOVE and AIR1 radio stations will be held at the First Presbyterian Church of Colusa at 7 p.m. on Nov. 14.
Golf tourney honors veterans
Colusa County Veterans will host its annual Veterans Day ceremony and golf tournament at the Arbuckle Golf Club, 5918 Hillgate Road, Arbuckle, today. The ceremony begins at 9 a.m. The ceremony is followed by a 10-gun shot to begin tournament. Event raises money for local veteran organizations. The public is encouraged to attend ceremony. Pheasant festival benefits church
Our Lady of Lourdes parish will host its annual Pheasant Festival dinner and bazaar, from 4- 9 p.m. on Nov. 14, at the Colusa County Fairgrounds. Dinner includes tri-tip, mashed potatoes, gravy, salad, vegetable, bread and beverage. Adults $14; children 10 and under $7. Silent auction, country store, door prizes and more.
