Community Briefs: Scouts pancake breakfast today
Colusa Boy Scout Troop 5 will hold a pancake breakfast from 7 a.m. to 1 p.m. today at the Colusa Scout Cabin, Ninth and Parkhill streets, Colusa.
Tickets are $5 pre-sale or $6 at the door.
Proceeds help send 14 Scouts to summer camp.

Friends of Library meeting set
Colusa County Librarian Wendy Burke will give an overview of library services, particularly digital resources, available through the branch libraries, at the Friends of the Library's annual meeting at 7 p.m. on Feb. 16.
The meeting will be held in the Morse Conference Room at the library, 738 Market St., Colusa.

Colusa Little League tryouts scheduled
Colusa Area Little League will hold tryouts for Minors and Majors divisions in baseball and softball on Sunday.
Tryouts for Major division baseball players, ages 11-12, will be at noon at the Little League field. The Major softball players will tryout at 1 p.m.
Tryouts for Minor division baseball players, ages 8-10, will be at 2 p.m. at the Little League field. The Minor softball players will tryout at 3 p.m.

Golden Pheasant event Sunday
Our Lady of Lourdes parish will host its annual Golden Pheasant Celebration from 5-7 p.m., Sunday, at St. Bernadette's Hall, 745 Ware Ave., Colusa.
Tickets are $100, with a prize of $1,000. The tickets can be shared by as many as four people.
Chairwoman of the event is Maryann LaGrande.

Williams alumni will hoop it up
Williams High School has scheduled Decade Alumni games, with women to play on Feb. 23 and the men on Feb. 24.
The odd-numbered graduating years will play against the even numbered graduating years in the following decades: 1960s and 1970s, and 1980s, 1990s and 2000s. The men who graduated in 2011 will play against the current boys varsity team.
Participating players do not have to be members of past school teams, but must be alumni of Williams High.

The number of people who sign up in each decade will determine the game times. Games have been tentatively set to start at 5:30 p.m. both nights.
