Briefs: Lions egg hunt Saturday
The Colusa Lions Club is hosting an Easter Egg Hunt at 9 a.m. on Saturday at the Colusa County Fairgrounds.
Preschoolers through third-graders are welcome to participate.
Williams egg hunt Saturday
An Easter Egg Hunt will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday at Venice Park in Williams.
There will be prizes such as golden eggs, Easter baskets and chocolate bunnies.
The hunts are divided into three age groups: 2-3, 4-5, 6-8.
The Easter Bunny will be on hand.
Softball sign-ups soon
The Colusa County Softball Association would like to invite all softball players from neighboring cities who may have lost their softball program. Team rosters for the Men's League will be accepted from 6-8 p.m. April 11 and 16 at Round Table Pizza in Colusa, 1031 Bridge St.

Woodcutting permits available
Personal use firewood permits are available for purchase from the Mendocino National Forest.
Permits are $5 per cord of wood, with a minimum purchase of four cords for $20. The permits are good through Dec. 31.

Bad-Ball tourney on deck
Sign-ups for the Co-ed Bad-Ball tournament are now being taken.
The tournament, which benefits the Colusa County Cowboys football and cheerleading programs, is limited to the 10 teams. It will be played on April 14. Must be at least a freshman in high school to play.
Cost is $25 per person or $40 per couple. Teams are drawn from that list. First to pay are the first to play.
Concessions and t-shirts will be available for purchase as well.

Golf event coming up
The fifth annual Colusa Redhawks Athletic Foundation Golf Tournament is set for April 20 at the Colusa Golf and County Club.
The foursome scramble format will have golfers competing for first, second and third place prizes.
Hors d'oeuvres and an awards ceremony will follow.
