Letter: Kudos to Colusa police

I have lived in Colusa for over 45 years and have been a victim of a crime twice. The first time was while we were away on vacation and had over $8,000 in property stolen from our house.

The Colusa Police Department, with the assistance of the Colusa County Sheriffs Department, recovered all of our property and made several arrests.

Most recently, on July 5, I had a bicycle stolen from my carport in broad daylight. The bicycle is important to me because it had belonged to my father, who unexpectedly passed away.

Within four hours of reporting the theft to the Colusa Police Department, it was located and returned. This was all because Sgt. Josh Fitch of the Colusa Police Department went above and beyond to locate it.

This is why I continue to choose to live in Colusa.
