Postcards and posters with the Colusa Grown logo and information are available free to producers and businesses as part of the program to promote locally grown goods.
The material would include information to promote each company's and producer's business.

Friday deadline for gardeners
The deadline to register for the UC Master Gardener volunteer training program is Friday.
A mandatory "Meet the Master Gardeners" orientation will be at 1-2 p.m. on Nov. 16.
Classes begin Jan. 15 and go through April. They include an introduction to horticulture, soils and water, weeds, insects, lawns, pests, landscape, fruit trees and disease diagnosis. The cost is $150, which includes two reference books.
Individuals must pass an open book written exam, be able to volunteer a minimum of 50 hours in activities and effectively communicate by telephone and in person.
Applications are available at the Colusa UC Cooperative Extension Office, 100 Sunrise Blvd., Suite E, in Colusa, and can be left at the office as well.

Showcase starts Friday
Elite Sports Express will bring its 75-foot traveling showroom trailer filled with hunting and related outdoors merchandise to Kittle's Outdoor & Sports Co. in Colusa from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Friday and Saturday.
The store is at the corner of Market and Eighth streets.

Hunter's breakfast on Saturday
The Maxwell FFA will host its annual Pheasant Hunter's Breakfast from 6-9 a.m. Saturday at the Maxwell Elementary School Multipurpose Room, 146 North St., Maxwell.
Tickets are $5 for adults and $3 for children under 10.
Parish hosts Pheasant Festival
Our Lady of Lourdes parish will host its annual Pheasant Festival, dinner and bazaar, from 4-9 p.m. Nov. 10, at the Colusa County Fairgrounds. Dinner includes tri-tip, mashed potatoes, gravy, salad, vegetable, bread and beverage. Adults $14; children 10 and under $7.

Spot open on commission
Colusa is taking applications for a vacancy on the Heritage Preservation Committee.
Applicants must live in the city. The deadline to submit an application is Nov. 27. The City Council is expected to make the appointment on Dec. 4

Center schedules Open House
The Safe Haven Drop-In Center will host a Holiday Open House from 2-4 p.m. on Nov. 28.
The center is located at 131 Fifth St. It will be open for refreshments and tours.
An Angel Tree will be in place from which visitors can take a paper ornament and then help support the need that it represents.
