Community Briefs: Dec. 8, 2012
Vintage photographs requested
Vintage photographs of Glenn County from the 1800s through the 1960s are being requested for use in a pictorial history book of the county to be published by Arcadia Publishing.
The goal of the author, Anna Canon, is to represent all towns, current or forgotten, throughout the history of the county through photographs of those who have lived in the area and may have ancestral ties to the area. Photographs of families and their activities, businesses, recreation, with a special interest in the baseball league, events, schools and more are all possible candidates for inclusion.
Anna is willing to come to you to scan your photos or will accept 300-dpi scanned photos through email.
For more information, contact Anna at canonanna @gmail.com or leave a message at 865-2250.
