Jack Critchfield
Jack Critchfield of Colusa passed away on January 14, 2008 at Enloe Hospital at the age of 89. He was born February 16, 1918 in Colusa, CA.
Jack graduated from Colusa High School and attended U.C. Berkeley. He served his country in the army air Corp during World War II.
Jack was a retired partner of Geo L. Messick Hardware Co. and active in his community. He served on the Colusa Fire Dept., Colusa Planning Commission, Colusa Parks and Rrecreation Commission and the Nestry of St. Stephens Episcopal Church.
At the time of his death, he was active on the Colusa County Historical Records Commission, the Colusa County Mosquito abatement District Board, Colusa Lodge #240 F and the Masons, Colusa Rotary, Colusa Golf and Country club and St. Stephen's Episcopal Church.
Jack enjoyed fishing, golfing, dancing and his family. He is survived by loving family members.
Wife of 11 years Donna Critchfield of Colusa, CA; Son: Thomas Critchfield of Colusa, Ca; Daughters: Bonnie Marshall of Yuba City; Step daughter; Diane Mabray of Biggs; Step Son: Dennis Fusaro of Colusa, CA; Brother; Bob Critchfield of San Jose, CA; Grandchildren: Jeff and Molly Critchfield, Christy Roarke, David Marshall; Step grandchildren: Patience Vargas, Patrick, Elizabeth and Miles Mabray.; Great-grandchildren; Thomas and Mia Critchfield, Katheryn and Christopher Roarke, Regan and Avery Marshall; Step Great-grandchildren: Evangelina Vargas.
He was preceded in death by his first wife of 55 years Kathryn Critchfield, and his brothers Elmer and Bill Critchfield.
Visitation will be held from 1:00-4:00 p.m. on Sunday, January 20th at McNary-Moore Chapel 107 5th Street in Colusa.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Monday January 21st at St. Stephens Episcopal Church in Colusa. Burial will be held at 2:00p.m.at Colusa Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made in Jack’s name to St. Stephen's Episcopal Church 642 Fifth Street Colusa, CA 95932
