Comedy Night coming on March 24
FIREMAN HUMOR
Q: Why don't fire chiefs look out the window in the morning?
A: They need something to do in the afternoon.
A funny thing happened on the way to the fire house, well, the Colusa County Fairgrounds, actually.
The 18th annual Comedy Night, presented by the Colusa Rural Firefighters Association, is scheduled for March 24.
The social hour begins at 5:30 p.m., followed by dinner at 6:30. The show, featuring professional comics, starts at 8. No one under 21 is allowed.
A raffle and auction are also part of the festivities.
The event is the association's largest fundsraiser of the year, the proceeds from which go to a scholarship program as well as other school and community activities.
"And we support the hospital when it needs things. ... Last year, we gave them a crash cart," said Heath Krug, chairman of the Comedy Night program.
Tickets are $35, and can be purchased through a firefighter, at Superior Tires, Reading Oil or by calling 458-0239.
