Furtados offer their thanks

Dear Editor:

We would like to give our thanks to the Willows community and all those in the surrounding areas who have helped us during the hardest time of our lives with the loss of our son, Steven.
All of the love and support that has been shown to us with prayers, food, flowers, plants, donations, hugs and words of encouragement has been overwhelming. We know that without the support of our community, we would not have been able to be as strong as we have been.
We know that we have not only lost a son, but the whole community has lost a friend. We are so very sorry for your loss, but even in your pain, you were able to reach out to us to help us be strong.
As you know, we still have a lot more to go through with the upcoming trial (of the man accused of killing Steven and his girlfriend). We would appreciate it if you would continue your prayers for us as we go through the very hard times we are still to face.
Thank you again from the bottom of our hearts for all of your love and support. We know as Steven watches from heaven that he is also sending his thanks and love to all of you.
Thank you – we love all of you!

Denise Furtado
