Sorority rummage sale today

The Beta Sigma Phi sorority will hold a rummage sale from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. today at the Colusa Senior Center, 901 Parkhill St.

Proceeds will be used for various service projects in Colusa.

Bank grand opening Thursday

Tri County Bank is holding a Chamber of Commerce ribbon cutting and grand opening at its new branch at Bridge and Fremont streets at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.

Fundraiser for hospital tees up

The Colusa Regional Medical Center Foundation's 21st annual Swing for Life Golf Tournament is set for Friday at Colusa Golf and Country Club.

Hole sponsorships are available $100. Donations will be greatly appreciated.

Elk Creek to host arts festival

The Elk Creek Citizen's Library Committee will host its third annual free Arts Festival to show off local artists' talents.

The event will take place from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Sept. 29; and from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sept. 30 at the Elk Creek Library grounds, 455 Elm St., Elk Creek.

Complimentary refreshments will be served.

All area artists are invited to participate. Display space is free, but on a first-come, first-served basis.

'Murder-mystery' on Oct. 27

A murder-mystery dinner, "The Good, the Bad & the Guilty," will take place Oct. 27 at the Sacramento Valley Museum Auditorium, 1491 E St., Williams.

The saloon will open at 6 p.m., with dinner and show beginning at 7.

Tickets are $40 each; seating is limited.

Orland car show next weekend

The Orland Chamber Rod & Custom Car Show & Swap Meet will kick off with a cruise from 5-8 p.m. Sept. 21. The show will continue Saturday and end at 2 p.m. Sunday with an awards ceremony.

Swap meet booths are $25 per space and car entries are $10 per car.

Gate admission is $5 for everyone 13 and up. Children 12 and under are free with a paying adult.

WHS Class of 1972 reunion set

The Willows High School Class of 1972 will hold its 40th reunion today at the Glenn County Golf Course, 6226 County Road 39, Willows.

A no-host bar will open at 5:30 p.m., class photo at 6:45, and dinner served at 7.

The cost is $25 per person.
