90th Birthday: Davis

Family and friends of Alice Davis gathered Sunday at the Methodist Church hall in Williams to celebrate and honor Alice Davis on her 90th birthday.

Davis was was born on Sept. 17, 1922, in her parent's home in Flint, Mich. She was raised there with her five brothers and two sisters.

She met her husband, Ray M. Davis, when she was 19 and they were married in 1941.

After moving to Williams, they opened their business, Williams Laundry. Davis was a partner in the business and was an excellent seamstress.

She was very active in the Methodist Church and was an avid bowler and loved to dance.

She loves the town of Williams, where she and her husband raised their six chidren: Sue, Rob, Patty, Jan, Ray and Beth.

During Sunday's birthday party, Davis enjoyed talking with so many family and friends. All of her children were able to be there.

The highlight of the party was when her sons and grandsons shared a dance with her.

Davis resides at the Mirsona Manor in Williams.
