Name: Tami Jenkins

Age: 48

Family: Husband, Gary; son, Daniel; daughters, Jessica, and twins Gina and Tiffany

Occupation: Co-owner of Granzella's Restaurant with my parents and two sisters' families. My sisters and I opened Granzella's Gourmet and Gifts shop three years ago.

Hobbies and interests: I don't have much time for hobbies with four kids. When I'm not with them I'm working, so my main interest right now is getting our gift shop established.

Did you make a New Year's resolution? No. I have done one in the past, but have never stuck to it.

What are your goals for the upcoming year? To work at making our gift shop more successful and to spend more time with my family.

What was the worst thing that happened to you in 2011? My dad was diagnosed with an illness that crushed our entire family.

What was the best thing that happened to you in 2011? My dad is doing so much better. Thank God.

Do you have a valentine? Yes, my husband.

Who was your first kiss? I was 12 and his name was Don.

What is your view on Valentine's Day; is it a day for sweethearts or a money-making ploy established by greeting card companies? I think a little of both.

Do you send out Valentine's Day cards? Just to my husband and kids.

Do you have any Valentine-related traditions? I spend the day with my husband. He always tries to do something special for me, and I always do something special for the kids.

What is your most memorable Valentine's Day? Up to now they have all been good, but this year will probably be the most memorable because I am donating my time to a fundraiser we do every year and it happens to fall on Valentine's Day this year, for the California Highway Patrol Widows Association.

What is your idea of a perfect Valentine's Day? A day of total relaxation at a five-star spa, and my husband pays for it.

What are you most thankful for? My family

What do you hope to see happen this upcoming year? I hope to see the economy get better, my family stays healthy and I get to take a big vacation.
