Independence Day brings big event
Colusa County Fourth of July celebration starts with a rubber duck race at 2 p.m. today. Children’s activities and street booths open at 3 p.m., and fireworks begin at 9:30 p.m. near Sacramento River Recreation Park, 10th and Main streets, Colusa. Details: 701-1541.
Colusa to host summer concert in the park
Colusa Parks and Community Services Department will host a concert in the park at 6:30 p.m. Thursday. Second Wind will be the featured band, playing old-school rock and roll, funk and soul. Colusa Rotary Club will be providing barbecued hamburgers and hot-dogs. Concert in the park is held every other Thursday in Memorial Park, at Ninth and Market streets, Colusa.
Rugby team inducted into hall of fame
The seventh annual Colusa County Hall of Fame banquet will be held July 11 to induct the 1982 Colusa County Farmers Rugby Team. Cocktails, 6 p.m.; dinner, 7 p.m. Details: 458-8754.
Swimming lessons offered to youth

Church fundraiser dishes up taco salad

Wrestling camp to be held at Colusa High
