Firefighters flip for flapjacks
The Colusa City firefighters will host a pancake breakfast from 7-11 a.m. today at the Colusa Fire Station, 750 Market St. The cost is $5 and children under six years-old eat for free.
Art in the community
The Colusa County Library will present the Month of The Young Child art in the Community Art Reception, 4:30-6 p.m. Monday at the Colusa County Library, 738 Market St., Colusa. For more information, call Ginger Harlow at 458-0300 ext. 10306.
Sheriff holding meeting
in Williams
The Colusa Sheriff's Department will be holding a community meeting at the Williams City Hall. The meeting is to discuss the topics of importance to the community, including water rights. Sheriff's Department personnel and other Government agencies will be in attendance to answer any questions. The meeting is at 7 p.m. April 1. For more information, call Sgt. Neil Cotter at 458-0226.
Kids caring for Kids
The Egling Middle School After School Program and Unicef are teaming up for "Kids caring for Kids." Students are coordinating a recycling drive to help support the people, especially children, of Haiti. The public is encouraged to save their recycling glass, cans and plastic over the next month and bring to the Egling Middle School parking lot, 813 Webster St., Colusa from 1-4 p.m. on April 2.

Posse dinner at
Colusa Western Days
The Colusa County Sheriff's Mounted Posse will host its rib eye steak dinner with music by Jim Halsey. Dinner will be served from 5-8 p.m. April 10 at the Colusa County Fairgrounds in the sheep barn. Tickets are $15.
Colusa High senior
collects for homeless
Katie Knight will be putting on a clothing drive for the local homeless. Bring all unwanted clothing to 104 East Clay St. in Colusa from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. April 17 and 18. All clothing will be donated to local homeless shelters.
