Free Thanksgiving turkeys giveaway

Holiday for the troops project

Family Water Alliance dinner
Family Water Alliance holds its 13th annual fundraiser dinner Saturday at the Maxwell Veterans Hall, 250 Oak St., Maxwell. No-host cocktails at 5:30 p.m.; dinner served at 6:30 p.m. Tickets are $25 per person, and attendees will be eligible for door prizes including a 42-inch flat-screen TV. Christmas plays at the Stagehands

12th Annual Olde Tyme Christmas
The 12th annual Olde Tyme Christmas will be held on Dec. 5. Market Street will be closed in Colusa from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. on the evening of the celebration. Vehicles on Market Street will be replaced with vendors, horse drawn buggies, entertainers, and of course - Santa Claus. Middling library poinsettia sale
The Egling Middle School Library is selling poinsettias to benefit the library. Each plant is $12. Today is the last day only for orders, which will be ready for pickup between 8:30 a.m. and 5:30 p.m. Dec. 4 and 5 at the school. For more information, call 458-7631.
