Founder of Granzella's dies
Jim Granzella, the founder of the famous Williams restaurant that bears his name, passed away at his home on Tuesday with his family by his side.
The business, Granzella’s Inc., announced Granzella's passing on its Facebook page.
On Thursday, funeral arrangements were announced.
Granzella's rosary and viewing will be held at McNary-Moore Funeral Service in Colusa at 6 p.m.-8 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 8.
The services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Catholic Church in Arbuckle.
After the service, Granzella's will be hosting a celebration of their founder's life at its banquet hall.
Granzella's opened it's doors in 1976 as a full-service deli under the ownership of co-founders Jim and Beverly Granzella. In the years since, the little deli expanded to include a restaurant and pizza parlor, a bar, and their own motel.
Over the years, Granzella's became one of the premieer attractions in the county, and also one of the county's largest employers.
