Charles Malcolm

Charles Rudolph Malcolm of Grimes passed away June 10, 2008, at Colusa Regional Medical Center at the age of 92. He was born Aug. 21, 1915, in Deep River, Iowa.

Malcolm was a plumber for many years and then became a fishing guide for 40 years. He and his wife Jean enjoyed daily games of cribbage. He was a member of the Grimes Community Church.

He is survived by wife Jean Lauppe Malcolm of Grimes; stepsons Chris Lauppe and his wife Janice of Alturas, John Lauppe and his wife Charlette of Arbuckle and Jim Lauppe and his wife Terra of Sacramento; four grandchildren; eight step-grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and 10 step-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by sons Rick and Roger Malcolm and sister Wilma Malcolm.

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at the Grimes Community Church

Memorial contributions may be made to the Grimes Community Church or the Grimes Civic Association, P.O. Box 35, Grimes, CA 95950.

Services are under the direction of McNary-Moore Funeral Service
