Chico gun show postponed

The U.S. Gun Traders gun and antique show scheduled for the Silver Dollar Fairgrounds in Chico today and Sunday has been postponed until December due to the North State fires.

CalFire is using the fairgrounds as a base headquarters.

The show, presented by Daryl Schaad and Larry Urrutia, will be held Dec. 15-16.

Willows car show results available

Winners of the 26th annual Willows Car and Bike Show can be found at www.willows-journal.com.

Logger history event slated

The Butte Meadows/Jonesville omelet breakfast and Diamond Match Camp Cabin "Museum" will be held Sept. 2.

The cabin is a replica of a Diamond Match logger's camp cabin, and the event will feature other historical items related to the logging industry.

More than 350 breakfasts — omelet, fruit, pancakes, juice and coffee — are expected to be served between 8-11 a.m. The cost is $10, with proceeds to benefit community projects such as the Web Weather Camera in the Butte Meadows/Jonesville area.

Take Highway 32 and Humboldt Road to Butte Meadows.

River clean-up scheduled

The first 50 people who volunteer to help clean up the riverbank between the Bridge Street bridge and the state park in Colusa will get a free lunch at Steelhead Lodge Bar and Grill.

The restaurant and Premier Mushrooms are sponsoring the event, starting with a tour of the mushroom plant at Colusa Industrial Properties at 9 a.m. Sept. 16.

To volunteer, call John Harry at Premier Mushrooms, 458-2700.

Volunteers needed at refuge
