    CRMC gets new equipment

The Colusa Regional Medical Center Auxiliary's team of volunteers has logged a lot of hours over the past 35 years.

Hospital officials report their very dedicated volunteers have put in 150,000 hours, providing comfort and joy to visitors and patients, as well as raising funds to purchase and donate medical equipment, and contributing nearly $25,000 over the past five years.

Most recently, a new blood pressure, pulse oxymetry machine was donated so the nurses would have two instead of one.

At a cost of nearly $2,500 each, these machines are vital in quality patient care and are used multiple times throughout each day to keep a close watch on patients' vital signs, hospital officials said.

The volunteers conduct fundraising events throughout the year at the CRMC campus in addition to the Auxiliary gift shop located in the lobby, where visitors to the hospital can find gifts and personal treasures for all occasions, with prices gentle on the budget.
