Colusa hospital president honored for leadership
Brady Myers, president of the Colusa Regional Medical Center board of directors, was recently honored with the California Hospital Association's Leadership in Governance Award.
Myers actually received the award at the hospital's 10th anniversary of the community purchasing the medical center out of bankruptcy.
Myers was a key figure in the "Save Our Hospital" campaign in 2001.
"We didn't know if we would be successful or not, we just knew that the hospital was too valuable for the people of Colusa County to lose and that we had to do everything in our power to keep it operational. I'm proud of what we accomplished and the success we've enjoyed since, Myers said in a statement recently released by the hospital.
"I am honored and humbled to accept this award on behalf of everyone who worked so tirelessly to save our hospital. CRMC not only survived, but has grown into one of Northern California's premier rural hospitals."
Myers is owner of Brady Myers Insurance Associates.
