1 hospitalized, arrested after semis collide near Williams
One man was still hospitalized on Friday after two semi-trucks collided 2:55 p.m. Thursday on southbound Interstate 5 near Myers Road near Williams, the California Highway Patrol reported.
Sohan Singh Khabra, of Westminster, made an unsafe lane change to the right and collided with a 1992 Freightliner driven by Ysalas Saustegui Lopez of Sacramento, CHP said.
Lopez ran off the right side of the road and Khabra's vehicle overturned onto its left side.
Khabra, who was transporting a load of rice, was life-flighted from the scene by Reach Air Medical Services. Khabra was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence, but was released to Enloe due to his injuries, CHP said. Khabra was listed in stable condition on Friday.
