Willows, Orland libraries to hold open houses
February is "Love Your Library" month.
Library officials are extending an invitation to the public to visit the public libraries in Glenn County this month to celebrate all the wonderful things you can do.
The Willows Public Library will hold an open house event on Tuesday.
Stop by the library anytime during open hours, 11 a.m.-7 p.m., to view the new teen section funded by the Willows Community Thrift Shoppe and enjoy free refreshments.
Local author Anne Baxter Campbell will be available from 3 p.m.-6 p.m. to discuss the literary process and her latest book.
The Orland Free Library will be host an open house from 3 p.m.-6 p.m. Feb. 14.
The public can enjoy some free refreshments and take a tour of the beautifully renovated space and check out the new flooring.
The Friends of the Orland Free Library funded the paint and new furniture for the children's and teen spaces.
The Orland and Willows library is showing its appreciation for their patrons and the community by offering an amnesty for overdue items during the entire month of February.
Overdue items can be turned in to the Orland, Willows, Bayliss, or Elk Creek libraries during the month of February and no fines will be charged, officials said.
This event does not apply to outstanding fines, lost or damaged items.
