Letter: Logue's ethics called into question
I am amazed and frustrated at Dan Logue, a candidate for both the Assembly in District 3 and the Senate in District 4.
Let me be very clear, Dan Logue’s run for the Senate takes advantage of a legal loophole that allows him to run for both the Assembly and the Senate at the same time. The question should be, is his behavior ethical? Ethical: conforming to accepted and especially professional standards of conduct. (The Merriam-Webster Dictionary).
I just don’t understand where running for two offices at the same time, meets accepted professional standards of conduct.
Mr. Logue was first running for the Assembly in District 1. Then, he was running for Assembly in District 3. Again, he changed his mind and is now also running for the Senate. My question is, what is ethical about deserting potential constituents in District 1, running in District 3, then potentially deserting those constituents to run for the Senate. This looks more like job shopping to me.
Mr. Logue stated specifically, in an appearance before the Corning Patriots, that he was not going to run for the Senate. I will let each of you look up what that is called in your own dictionary.
