Sheriff Marshall decides against re-election bid
Colusa County Sheriff Scott Marshall has announced he will not seek re-election.
"It's just time to move on. Forty-two years has been enough," Marshall said Friday.
He said he doesn't yet know what the future holds, but he still has one year and three months left to complete his final term.
In that time, he plans to "get the process for a new jail started" and complete a few other major projects.
