Bella Esperanza Mendez was born at 6:34 a.m. June 21 at the Colusa Regional Medical Center to Christina and Esmeraldo Mendez of Colusa. She weighed 7 pounds, 2 ounces and was 19.5 inches long. Bella has three siblings; Silvia, Maricela and Neysa Mendez.

Bella's maternal grandparents are Frances Torres and Jason Hunnicutt and her paternal grandparents are Berta Islas and Martin Mendez. The attending physician was Dr. Antonio Meraz.
