Carl Gene Pacheco

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, at the open Gate Christian Fellowship, in Willows, for Carl Gene Pacheco, who passed away peacefully on Nov. 17, 2008, with his family by his side.

Pacheco was born in the Codora area on July 22, 1933, to Joe and Esther Pacheco. He married Carol Jean Hancock on September 23, 1952.

He operated Pacheco Sand & Gravel for over 20 years, before building Williams Ready Mix, which he ran until his retirement.

Pacheco loved golf, watching football, and hearty political discussions.

He is survived by his wife Carol, six children; Karen (David Furtado), Mike, John, Carla, Lori, and Rob (Cindy Pacheco); brother Les Pacheco; 18 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

His mother, father and two brothers preceded him in death.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Enloe Hospital or Enloe Hospice, 1390 E. Lassen Ave., Chico of in care of F.D. Sweet & Son, Willows.
