Edward Purvis

Edward Allen Purvis Sr. died April 3, 2008 at Enloe Medical Center in Chico. He was born Nov. 1, 1961, in Chico and was a lifelong resident of Colusa County.

Edward worked in farming for 30 years. He was a member of the Assembly of God Church in Colusa and he enjoyed camping, fishing, being outdoors and barbecues with family and friends but his greatest joy came while spending time with his twelve grandchildren

Purvis is survived by sons Edward Allen Purvis Jr. and Kevin James Purvis, both of Willows; daughters Tracy Nichole Purvis of Chico and Kerri Lynn Purvis of Colusa; brothers Donald Purvis of Maxwell and John Purvis of Oroville; fiancée Resa Lyn of Colusa; and 12 grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his mother Maryanne Purvis and his grandparents James and Mary Underhill.

A memorial service will be held at Maxwell Cemetery at 11 a.m. May 24. Services are under the direction of McNary-Moore Funeral Service.
