Roy and Alma Triplett, 60th wedding anniversary

Roy and Alma Triplett, lifelong Colusa residents celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary Friday at the Wintun Dinner House in Colusa with family and friends. They were married July 18, 1948, in San Jose.

Roy was superintendent of the City of Colusa Public Works Department for 40 years. He served in the Navy in Iwo Jima during World War II. He was recalled for service during the Korean War and served on the USS Bausell Destroyer.

Alma retired from All Tel after 24 years.

They enjoy traveling during the winter and spending time in Arizona with friends.

Roy and Alma are the parents of Rod and his wife Katie of Oregon and Roy who passed away in 1987. They have one granddaughter, Trinady Moore and one great-grandson, Gunnar Moore of Yuba City.
