Get school bus schedule
The 2010-11 bus schedule and routes for the Colusa Unified School District are now available at www.colusa.k12.ca.us/.
The routes and times are the same as last school year, and the policy remains that if there are no students at any particular stop for a two-week period, that location will be dropped.

Community book club meeting
The Colusa Community Book Club will meet at 6:30 p.m. Thursday in the Morse Conference Room of the Colusa County Library, 738 Market St, Colusa.
The discussion will be on the book, "Lacuna," by Barbara Kingsolver. Peggy Townzen will be the reviewer.
Free car seat check-up
The California Highway Patrol in conjunction with Colusa County Health and Human Services and First 5 Colusa will hold a child safety seat check-up even from 9 a.m. to noon Aug. 14 in the north parking lot of the Colusa County Fairgrounds, 1303 10th Street, Colusa. Whooping cough vaccinations
Colusa County Public Health will hold the last of the free Whooping Cough (Pertussis) vaccination clinics for adults 13 years or older that care for or spend time with infants and have not had a booster shot previously from 10 a.m. to noon Friday at the Williams Flea Market.

Shop, socialize and dine
The Arbuckle Certified Farmers Market will be held from 5-8 p.m. each Wednesday at LaVanche Hursh Community Park in downtown Arbuckle.
A variety of produce, goods, hand-made crafts, T-shirts and other goods will be sold. A barbecue dinner will by provided by Louis Cairo's Catering.

Ice Cream Social
The Arbuckle United Methodist Church invites the community to its annual Ice Cream Social at 6 p.m. Sunday, Ninth and Pendleton streets. Homemade ice cream and cookies will be served. Come and enjoy an evening of great Christian fellowship.
Mighty Might youth soccer
The Colusa Recreation Department is holding a youth soccer program and coaches meeting at 6 p.m. Monday in the conference room at City Hall, 425 Webster St.
All games will be held in Colusa at the high school field. Fees will be $40 for city residents at $48 for out of city residents.
Sign-ups will continue through Sept. 3.
