Bay Delta plan forum set
Butte County Department of Water and Resource Conservation and the Glenn County Water Advisory Committee will host a forum, "Understanding the Bay Delta Conservation Plan and Alternative Proposals: How Will Sacramento Valley Interests be Addressed?" at the Masonic Family Center in Chico from 1 p.m.-4 p.m. today.
Artist reception Thursday
Local oil painting artist Jo Ollerman will be the Colusa County Arts Council featured artist for the month of August. An artist's reception will be held from 5 p.m.-7 p.m. Thursday at 430 Market St., Suite C, Colusa.

YES Recovery Walk scheduled
The fourth annual YES Eleanor Azevedo Memorial Recovery Walk will be held 10 a.m. Saturday at A.B. Davison Park, under the pavilion on 10th Street, Colusa. All proceeds go to the YES Fund, which has been helping youth participate in self-enrichment activities since 2010.

Crawdad Festival coming soon
The eighth annual Colusa Crawdad Festival sponsored by the Knights of Columbus Council 2145 and featuring live music will be held at the Colusa County Fairgrounds from 1 p.m.-10 p.m. Sept. 7. Proceeds from the annual event support local community charities.

Colusa County Arts Council to present Avenue of the Arts
Colusa County Arts Council will be hosting Avenue of the Arts at 6:30 p.m. Sept. 14 featuring artist Noel Etchepare-Stubbelfield, a Maxwell-native. Her medium is oil and watercolor paintings. 5-kilometer Mud Run to benefit River Partners
A 5K mud run to benefit River Partners in their efforts to create wildlife habitat will be held on the Sacramento River about 9 miles north of Colusa off River Road on Sept. 14. The course will include obstacles along the way, including mud pits, hay bale climbs, sand traps, water crossings, tire fields and a tunnel crawl.

Coastal Cleanup, ecology walk and farm tour planned in Colusa
Volunteers are invited for the second annual Coastal Clean-up in Colusa on Sept. 21. At 10 a.m., there will be a tour of Premier Mushrooms followed by a River Ecology and Nature Walk from 11:45 a.m.-12:15 p.m. The river cleanup will take place from 12:15 p.m.-2:15 p.m. The day will conclude with a barbecue and prizes between 2:30 p.m.-4 p.m.
Last year, volunteers picked up 61.7 pounds of trash and recyclables on Colusa's greenbelt along the Sacramento River.
This year's event is sponsored by Premier Mushrooms Inc., Steelhead Lodge Bar & Grill, Central Valley Gas Storage, Tommy's Market Street Grill, Net Impact Sacramento and California Coastal Commission.
