Free and reduced-price meals are available at Princeton Joint Unified schools as part of the National School Lunch/Breakfast Program.
Household size and income are used to determine eligibility for each family.

Tree, utilities commissions seats available
Two vacancies on the Tree Commission and one on the Utilities Commission are available for Colusa.
The City Council will fill the vacancies by appointment at the Aug. 20 meeting.
Applicants need to be residents of the city or residents of Colusa County if applicant lives within a two miles of the city limits at the time of appointment and during his or her term, and shall not be officers nor employees of the city.

Egling to have back-to-school night Tuesday
Egling Middle School will hold a back-to-school night and barbecue from 4:30 p.m.-5:30 p.m. Tuesday, followed by classroom presentations until 7 p.m.
A barbecue hot dog or hamburger meal will be available for $5.
Other activities include performances by the middle school jazz band, raffle prizes for students and families, grade level presentations for all grades, campus tours, an and information fair.
The student store will also be available for purchases of school shirts, yearbooks, planners, and P.E. clothes.

Walk to benefit youth empowerment planned
The fourth annual Youth Empowerment Services Eleanor Azevedo Memorial Recovery Walk and raffle is slated to begin at 10 a.m. Aug. 24 at the Davison Park Pavilion, on 10th Street, between Webster and Parkhill streets, Colusa.
Registration is $10 per person, $30 for a family of four, and $8 for each additional family member.
Proceeds benefit local youth participation in self-enrichment activities.
